Can some one provide me with some good website for learning all about shares and stocks?
Posted by admin as shares stocks
I wanted to learn more about stocks, shares and how they affect the economy of the country – could some one guide me to a good book or good website.please..
For info about stocks, there are literally hundreds of websites that provide info. The best I have found:
finance.yahoo.com
morningstar.com
How stocks affect the economy? They don't. But they can "reflect" the condition of the economy in general. The companies behind the stocks can affect the economy by what they do or don't do. For example, are they growing and hiring people (positive affect) or are they closing plants and laying off people (negative affect).
Your question is more of an Economics 101 question for which there are hundreds of books addressing the subject and as many opinions about what factors affect the economy directly or indirectly and why. There are no definitive answers. Only opinions.
try investopedia.com

Motley Fool is a great site – very casual style but user-friendly.
Doesn't make you feel you need to hire an "expert" to make your investment decisions.

The attached link to yahoo finance has several stock educational sections.
