What is the cheapest way to sell shares?

Is there a website where i can find out how much the shares are worth? Some are really old around 1991 onwards. Is there a website which can convert shares into a price value of how much they are worth now?

I assume you have physical Share Certificates … all Shares are now traded 'electronically' (Share Certs. are no longer issued) … very few Brokers now accept Certs.

I'm going to guess you will have to go to your Bank .. even so they are likely to charge you £25 to process each Certificate ..

All UK shares are traded via the Stock Exchange .. enter the Company name in one of the on-line quote systems for some idea of the Share value (for example, see below)
