Technical analysis of the stock market, or any other market such as Forex, futures, is how most traders and investors make their trading decisions. This is as opposed to fundamental analysis which most people more agree is pretty much done as a way of making trading decisions, unless of course you are Warren Buffet!.

You only have to think back to recent stock market scams like Enron to know that it is almost impossible for the average, and even very sophisticated fund manager or hedge fund trader to really know what the real financial state of a company is.

Just by reading the balance sheet and other quaterly reports they release gives you a very poor insight into the real health of the company. Whereas the technical analysis charts of the company tend to give the real picture of what the market thinks of the value of the company. In the case of Enron even simple technical analysis told you to SELL when the stock was in the $80-90 range, this is why technical analysis of stocks is so popular.

So what are the secrets to technical analysis?, I’m about to tell you, here are my golden rules:

* Only use 3-5 simple technical analysis indicators

* Make sure that you understand how the indicators that you have selected work, what the parameter settings are and in what market conditions they are effective

* After selecting your indicators and parameter settings don’t mess with them.

The real secret to technical analysis is to get VERY familiar with your choosen indicators, and really this can only be done by watching and studying the market, so that you get to the point that you TRUST them.

The fact is that in any market, for each bar, there are only 5 pieces of information, the open, close, high, low and volume, yet there are now hundreds of indicators. Most of these indicators are displaying the same information and so are redundant.

For the record my set of indicators are:

* 4 Simple Moving Averages

* Bollinger Bands

* MACD

* Stochastics

But the way I use them is quite special, to learn more about how to become an expert at technical analysis visit:

If you are considering making an investment in the stock market in one way, shape, form, or fashion you’ve likely heard the term “mutual fund.” If you’re like I was, you most likely have no real clue as regards what the term essentially means apropos money benefits or perhaps precisely what a retirement fund is. Hopefully, reading this may clear up a couple of the details for you so you can move on to make enlightened choices about where and the way to invest your cash.

I should start by pointing out that there truly is no method for investing that is absolutely without risk. That having been said, retirement funds have lower risks that many other investment options, which makes them an enticing purchase for the ones that are uncertain about investing. In reality with the intention of savings, mutual funds often have much better rates of return than the average deposit account at your local bank and the risks are insignificant in this sort of investment, especially compared to other trickier ventures.

So back to basics, funds are, put simply a collection of stocks and bonds that are the property of a group of people instead of one individual financier. This accomplishes a few things. First off, it permits backers to buy in with significantly less cash than it would probably take to purchase the same ‘portfolio ‘ on their lonesome and it spreads the damage out among a grouping of folks should something go screwy. In addition, because it isn’t one single stock or bond or often even one sector of the stock market, the risks for a complete and total loss are reduced to some degree. Keep under consideration however the market does simply have bad days sometimes and there’s not much that may be done about that short of stuffing your cash under your mattress and it actually won’t grow there.

There are lots of advantages and drawbacks in regards to purchasing mutual funds. You won’t find the flashy swings, dips, dives, and other grand maneuvers in the typical hedge funds. Most mutual funds are selected due to their stability not for in hopes of massive profits though some funds are, admittedly, more aggressive than others. It actually relies upon how much of a gambler you are by nature and how much of your investment and retirement you are willing to risk whether you will be satisfied with mutual funds as most or all of your portfolio.

Diversification is one of the key ingredients of a good portfolio and retirement funds will help you work the variety you need into your portfolio fast. If you are young and just beginning your career and in no real hurry for retirement this is one of the safest methods to invest your money for the long haul. Unfortunately it could lead on to a snug retirement but is improbable to end up in a flashy retirement, as most mutual funds don’t have the high payoffs that many speculators seek.

There are largely 3 types of retirement funds with 1 or 2 adaptations on each. First there are money market funds. These funds are good for the long-term financier who has a nice and slow approach to investing and will probably be better than leaving your cash in a saving account collecting interest but there are better earning funds to be found. Second are the stock funds. These funds provide slow growth over time as well as some revenue on the way. Ultimately there are the fixed income funds. The point of these funds is to supply a current income over a period. These are not funds that are expected to rise in value only to maintain a certain quality of live. This is great for those that have retired or investors that are highly conservative in nature. Hopefully this finds you knowing a touch more about mutual funds in general and preparing to learn rather more about the way to take command of your investment options, stock trading systems, and make these key choices for your future and that of your folks.

I should begin this by claiming that stock brokers are dear. However , if you are new to the sector of investing and find the language, costs, fees, and process the tiniest bit confusing it is best to utilize the services of a stockbroker that is going to work with you every step of the way and explain the way things work at least for the 1st one or two trades you make. Stockbrokers are paid through commissions that are earned each time you buy or sell a stock. For this reason they're great for advising you on which stocks to buy or sell though their main goal is to keep you selling and purchasing because they earn cash on each transaction so be sure to take their information, to a certain degree, with a grain of salt.

That having been said a good stockbroker can help you study the details about trading stocks when you are just starting in your investment efforts. Their information and services can be invaluable and definitely worth every penny you pay them provided you find a broker that is going to work with you although you are , presumably, going to be trading on a way smaller scale than some of their high dollar clients. To explain you need someone that is going to work with you although you aren't certain to be their biggest client anytime in the future unless they make some glorious decisions on your behalf.

Stockbrokers can also provide fantastic understanding and invaluable advice on the way to diversify your portfolio so as to minimize your risks as far as your investments go while building the foundation for a successful future trading in the market. Just as importantly a stock broker will help you identify diamonds in the stock business that may be disguised as mounds of coal. They've a great amount of experience in this business, far more education, and often times excellent raw instincts about what's coming next in a given stock.

This by no means indicates that the services or advice of stockbrokers is somehow infallible. This is not the case at all. Everybody makes mess ups but by following the information of a stock broker you are far sure to make fewer mistakes than if you were going it alone because you can learn from past mistakes the brokers have made and hopefully avoid future mistakes of your own by taking their guidance and direction to heart.

If the high commissions of brick and mortar brokerages are tough to come by or sacrifice you might want to think about a web stock broker. While they regularly won't have the pedigree and references of some of the stockbroker pros that can be found in several financial establishments on The Street they also do not charge commissions that match those pedigrees and can be invaluable in helping you to make the most of your stock market investments. Learn when to take the advice that's given for what it is worth and use it to your benefit. Their guidance can still help you much more than trying to muddle through the intricacies of investing and online trading on your own.

If you decide not to go with a broker you want to appreciate you are doing so at your own risk. The roads of the stock market are difficult to navigate even for those that have some quantity of experience and there are not many roadmaps to help lead you along the way. A qualified and competent stock broker can be the difference between a successful investment future and a loosing your shirt on your first time out of the gate. Take advantage of the benefit that a stock broker can bring to the table until you are confident in your capability to navigate these waters on your own. It can make all of the difference in the world to your portfolio.

Making An Investment In The Highest Return Mutual Funds Can Produce Giant Returns

Making an investment in the the highest return mutual funds can produce above average stock market returns over long amounts of time. Before investing money in funds, it’s really important to identify the highest return mutual funds available to make certain that the money invested performs better than the stock market indexes and mutual fund industry averages.

Many stock market investors make the error of thinking that if they invest their cash in mutual funds the professional money executives who manage retirement funds will make sure that their cash is being invested smartly and they can earn a good rate of return on their investment. However , not all mutual funds are equal in their performance. Actually a majority of professional cash managers who manage retirement funds don’t even beat the stock market index averages that track their mutual fund category in a stipulated year. Meaning a stock market financier would have better stock market returns by buying an unmanaged market index fund than the bulk of professionally controlled mutual funds. Not only would their returns in index funds beat the performance of most fund money chiefs, but they would also pay seriously lower yearly fund charges by buying index funds, further increasing their overall stock market returns.

Finding The Highest Return Mutual Funds

If a stock market investor is making an investment in hedge funds thru a regular brokerage account or an Individual Retirement Account (IRA), then finding the highest return mutual funds is as easy as just looking up the best performing hedge funds via the Web and buying them. Sites like Yahoo Finance and MorningStar can be exploited to look up the performance of mutual funds. Mutual fund performance comparisons are provided for different time periods and for the stock market index that most closely matches a particular mutual fund. The highest return retirement funds are the ones that habitually beat the stock market indexes that most closely match them.

Many stock market financiers invest their money through 401-K plans that offer a controlled number of mutual funds to select from. While the selection of mutual funds might be limited, the performance of the retirement funds that are offered thru a 401-K plan can be analyzed to establish highest return retirement funds that are offered by a 401-K. Doing research on the mutual funds offered and finding the highest return funds that beat their stock market tracking indexes will ensure that stock exchange returns are the best possible, given the choice of mutual funds.

When calculating the highest return mutual funds , remember that annual cost costs must be thought to be as part of the calculation. If 2 mutual funds have similar high return rates, but one of them has significantly more expensive yearly cost costs, going with the fund with the lower annual cost costs will lead directly to greater stock market returns over long periods. Just a few % points difference in the returns from the highest return mutual funds can lead to seriously higher total long term stock market returns.

Simon Handler’s interest in the stock market and investing goes back to his childhood. He made it a career and after 2 decades of researching the stock market, Simon has made a decision to concentrate on writing stock tips for financiers interested in penny stocks.

With the steady decline of the Euro over these past few months because of the doubt of whether or not the Euro dollar, or indeed the EU Buck zone will survive in its present state has stockholders worried to saythe very least, whether they are speculating for their future into a QROPS, SIPP or similar…

With the United Kingdom refusing to be part of any new treaty and using its veto a couple of weeks back was seen by many initially, as rotten, although the UK citizens certainly agreed with his actions and put the United Kingdom back on the map as having its own agenda, pride and strength to decline when it was not in Britain’s best interest. Since that time other countries have stood up and have also decided to say no.

The very idea of member contries reporting to Brussels (or Germany and France) for their economic and financial policies is simply too much for them to agree to. A sad fact remains though; it’s probably the only doable solution for the EU Dollar and the EU Dollar area to succeed.

What comes next is anyone’s guess currently, will the European Central Bank lower interest rates? Will they print additional money? These are hot topics of debate…

The industrial reports is so varied day to day that it’s hard to tell what the next catalyst will be for either a reversal of fortunes or the continued slide for the Euro dollar.

For the technical backers and traders out there the Euro Buck/Usd is fast approaching some major support at the 1.26 area. This has proven to be a major area for the Euro/Usd in the period of May until September 2010 the area was tested numerous times in that time. Will it hold again or at least offer some temporary support for the Euro Buck is still to be seen. However one thing is certain it is going to be tested again, so the following couple of weeks could prove very interesting times for speculators.

In fact an advisor most of the time shouldn't always direct you to only their site when using financials tools or getting fiscal information on stocks they are not currently advising. The below information are questions and answers that I Chuck Hughes have given to my advisory members.

For example on the Option Spread Trades that if the debit is greater than 8 points for a 10 point spread or 12 for a 15 point spread then not to initiate it. You would like a 25% return potential. 2/8 = 25%, 3/12 = 25%. With the 20 point spread you want 4 points of profit potential 4/16 = 25%

If you're going to buy a stock using an advisory formula you need to ask questions and understand the formula. As an example if you purchased OKS april 12 50 call at $2.85 on 12-1-11.Showing 225.00 profit so far. Ask is 6.00…bid is 2.85. The query you need to ask Why such a spread between ask and bid? Is this common or is it as the expiritation is so far out? The answer to such a questions would be “Some stocks have a wide spread. I employ a limit order to try to enter halfway between the bid and ask.”

When you do not know ask for guidance. For instance: Chuck Hughes,

I have been watching AAPL price climb higher and higher since the peak on 7/26. All of the while, the MACD has been making new lower highs. Many people would say this is a set-up for a serious price decline in AAPL. Does your system concern itself with such divergences? If you are using a good consultant he should reply in a timely matter in ths way. The 50/100 day ema and major trend systems are both on a buy for AAPL. I believe it is the most undervalued quality expansion stock out there and am purchasing any dips.

Employing a Advisory type formula should look like. What's the formula for working out pc return on paired trades? For example: SINA Option Spread entered 12/7/10 and exited 11/23/11 Profit was $1540 for a pc return of 105.5%. How do you figure out this? Was the total investment $6160 (65 call) $4700 (125 call) = $10860? Cost was 6,160 – 4,700 = 1,460 Divide profit 1,540 by cost 1,460 = 105.5 % return

Question:

Please provide updated info regarding website with New 52 week high. It doesnt work. See page 91:

Down Loading the New 52-Week New High List

The new 52-week high list can be easily downloaded from www.msn.com.

1. Log on to MSN.com and click ‘Money ‘

2. Under Investing click ‘Stock Research ‘

3. Under Find Stocks click ‘Stock Power Searches ‘

4. Under Power Searches click ’52 Week Highs ‘

Answer: MSN doesn't display it anymore so I use barchart.com which is even better than MSN.

Question:

I have two questions on the long run trend using one month/20 month EMA.

How do you generate one month price graph? Is it an easy 30 days MA or

single price/month on one special day? Also I have read the Q&A section and it seems, like me, many are mystified about taking trades already advocated (some over twelve months back) that are still marked a “buy”. Aren't you running the danger of being on the end of a trade when the advice is so old?; i.e, a higher probability the trade will go against you before you are profit-making.

Additionally, in the selling materials, the focus of CFT was “…do what I do , when I do it..” The most important word being “when.” So again the instructions appear paradoxical, and at a minimum baffling.

Answer: It is available on stockcharts.com with the basic subscription. To answer the 2nd part of the question; there is not any way to predict the way the current trades labeled as a buy are going to perform going forward. Many of the oldest trades are the best performing.

Question:

I'm confused on a stated dividend return. For VZ you said that the dividend was 4.88 which reduces the cost of the protective 35 DividendInvestor.com has the quarterly dividend at $0.50 which would be $50/100shares/quarter or $200 annual=2.0/share annually. I am obviously missing something and hope your number is correct. How was the 4.88 dividend appeared at?

Answer: As mentioned in the trade alert that's the dividend paid from now. Till Jan 2014 option expiration if the quarterly dividend is maintained.

Forex trading is risky, exciting and potentially, very profitable. You don’t want to go into the foreign currency market without having a solid plan. The pitfalls and stumbling blocks in forex trading are ever present. In this article, you will find tips on how to succeed in the market.

You can rely on a relative strength index to find out the average gain or loss on a market. This will not necessarily reflect your investment, but should give you an idea of the potential of a particular market. If you are considering investing on a market that is usually not profitable, perhaps you should reconsider your decision.

Only trade with money that you will not miss. Yes, you hope that you at least break even, making money would even be better, but what if you lose money. Will it hurt your lifestyle? It shouldn’t. The amount of money you use should not dramatically change the financial situation you are in now.

Get to know about the Forex trading taxes. Different kinds of trades operate under different kinds of tax codes, and all of these codes are also subject to your own federal and state taxes. It is important to learn which taxes are going to affect you, in order to have a better idea of the actual profit you will be making. You really don’t want to be short when it comes time to pay your taxes. Be sure to set aside your taxes on a weekly basis.

If you want a great investment, think about the British pound. The U.K. has a different currency from the rest of the European Union, which means that the pound is not affected by what is going on in Europe. The pound has proven to be a safe and profitable investment over the years.

When trading in the foreign exchange market, it’s important to cut your losses short as soon as they occur. It’s tempting to let losses run in the hopes of recouping some of what you’ve lost, but this will rarely pan out. Sell at a point that you deem an acceptable risk, and move on.

Considering merging your workspace and storage needs in your home office. Forex tends not to require a lot of accessories or paperwork, but you may like to analyze charts on paper. This will require some space on your desk, so instead of putting organizers on top, why not build your desk as a plank of wood (like a door) on top of plastic organizer drawers?

Manage risk wisely. The funds that you deposit are what enable you to trade, and if you lose them, you will not be able to work. Do not risk more than five percent of a deposit per single trade ever. Two to three percent is even safer, and the ideal way to go.

Let your gains run, but cut your losses early. This adage about stock market investing applies equally to the Forex market. If a position is winning for you, a premature exit can clip your profits. If a position is losing, holding on too long can cause your losses to snowball, making it hard to recover.

If you have the money to start out and do not mind risking more for what would be a better chance for a financial gain, you could go a little “Wall Street” and find a broker or another expert who actually handled the trading for you completely. You’d still get to set the rules, but this person would trade what he or she thought was best and then you’d divide the profits.

A good way to gain valuable information on how to be successful in terms of trading in the foreign exchange market is to gain access to online forums. These forums can give you insight on how to go about trading. The more you know they better you are in terms of deciding on what trade to do.

As was stated in the beginning of this article, having knowledge about Forex is the best way for you to become successful at it, thus making a significant amount of money. The next time you are getting ready to trade with Forex, keep the tips you learned from this article in mind.

If you have trouble with personal finance and budget balance, you’re not alone! Many people find themselves in financial trouble and debt because they just don’t understand how to manage their money! If this is you, read on for some simple ideas on managing your money and keeping yourself out of debt!

Add some foreign intrigue to your investments. The simplest way to invest internationally is through a no-load mutual fund, which provides diversification and greatly reduces the expense and amount of research needed to buy individual foreign stocks. Because different countries’ stock markets often move in different directions from U.S. markets and from each other, foreign stocks can reduce the overall risk of your investment portfolio.

A great personal finance tip that can help you save money is to always hold on to your spare change. Some people just toss their spare change as if it doesn’t matter and that’s a huge mistake. Spare change can add up, which can save you money in the long run.

Over the course of your life, you will want to make sure to maintain the best possible credit score that you can. This will play a large role in low interest rates, cars and homes that you can purchase in the future. A great credit score will offer you substantial benefits.

If you are thinking about opening an account at a bank, look for the locations that offer free checking accounts. These accounts are beneficial, and can provide you with an additional 50-75 dollars to start up with when you open the account. These deals can give you a kick start to maximizing the balance in your account.

It’s often easier to save money if you don’t have to think about it, so it can be a good idea to set up your direct deposit so that a certain percentage of each paycheck is automatically put into your savings account. This way you don’t have to worry about remembering to transfer the money.

Every time, you think about paying with credit or taking out a loan, take the time to calculate what you will ultimately pay for that convenience in the long run. Credit cards typically have interest rates of around 20% while some quick, secured loans can have interest rates that will ultimately cost you two to three times the amount you are getting in the first place. It is far better to go without in the short-term than to cripple yourself financially in the long-term.

Never, ever take out an auto title loan. An auto title loan is a subprime loan that is secured with a car title. That means that if you fail to repay the loan, then your car will be repossessed. The interest rates on these loans are extremely high, so a large minority of borrowers end up losing their cars.

Do not buy anything unless you really need it and can afford it. This way you will save your money for essentials and you will not wind up in debt. If you are discerning regarding what you purchase, and use cash to buy only what you need (and at the lowest possible price) you will not have to worry about being in debt.

Find out if you will get a discount for making your payments automatically. Many times if you mail your payment you will be charged as much as $5.00 per month. You may find that there is a nice discount for you if you set up an automatic payment through your checking account or credit card.

Be smart when you shop. You can use coupons to save money on many different things. You should also look into products before you buy them. If the product is too cheap, there is a good chance that it is going to break soon after buying it and you will be out the money that you spent on it.

Most people need some help in sorting their personal finances at one point or another in their lives and hopefully this article has provided you with valuable tips on how you can do just that, starting today. Personal financial health is vital to happier and less stressful living and with the right advice you can be on your way to it!

Investment software was once exclusively available to professional full-time investors in order to safeguard and guide their investing. In recent years, investment software have become available on a consumer level.

These programs take the entire scope of the market into account and compare past well performing stock behavior to current real-time market conditions in order to find overlaps to further investigate.

Simply put, the choices are naturally binary in the sense that there are only two possible outcomes, thus the term all-or-nothing options. They are usually cash-settled or exercised upon the expiration date. Unlike conventional market options, they offer complete payout on one single movement. Thus, despite the “all or nothing” connotation, an investor may actually receive a certain payout amount even if the option expired “out of the money”.

As of late, ordinary people with some level of cash liquidity are flocking online sites that offer this. Law enforcement agencies are actually advising online users to exercise extreme care in dealing with various binary option platforms.

Just to be on the safe side, here are some of the basic things you need to watch out for to protect your assets.

The low price of micro stock offerings translates into the opportunity to purchase more shares.

By way of their low price, penny stocks afford investors the chance to diversify their holdings by investing in more than one stock. By broadening their portfolios in this way, and by performing solid research and utilizing various sources of available information, investors can increase their earning potential, while at the same time, mitigating their loss potential. If a potential stock proves to be profitable, the investor can purchase additional shares and realize even greater profits.

- Trading services should offer support to new traders and give access to educational resources such as updated market reports and financial events.

- Know the underlying assets and the financial markets where they are traded.

- Select a platform that also offers certain bonuses upon funding a trading account.

In the same vein, I recommend that you avoid the free investment software altogether. I am not trying to sell you on something myself, but the free options are notorious for being pump and dump schemes in which whoever is behind the program sends out arbitrary stock picks which they then invest in themselves and then advertise that pick to whoever will listen in order to drive up the cost and line their own pockets. There is no algorithm involved or even a program technically, so don’t waste your time.

- Join or enroll in a platform that supports several currencies. A platform that deals with a variety of currencies such as the Euro, the US Dollar, and the British Pound Sterling should be desired. This is because dealing with multiple currencies shows that the platform is far from being shady and has an international presence.

Decide on one that employs tight measures to safeguard your information from unauthorized access, loss, or improper disclosure. Your privacy and security should always remain paramount. Look for a platform that employs software and encryption technologies.

Over the last eight weeks [June, 2006] I’ve been spending time reading articles describing the latest market conditions…trying to determine if it really affects penny stock investors.

Are we in a fluff market…are we wading into a bear market. Or is the recent move just a dead-cat bounce?

The useless cat bounce refers to some sort of short-term recovery in a declining trend. There’s a (relatively) old saying with investing: even a dead pet will bounce if it’s decreased from high enough.

No matter how anyone slice it…I’m not sure this even matters to penny stock investing investors like you and me.might be unearthed on this page yet , most people could possibly besides achieve michael kors handbags

For example…stocks surged throughout Japan this week as stories showed growth in manufacturing and exports. Markets rose across Japan as investors were urged by Wednesday’s gains on Retaining wall Street.

Strong earnings stories from two bellwether stocks provided penny stock investors hope in which rising interest rates wouldn’t destroy profits. The recent sell-off, said 1 economist was “just turbulence.”Several the simplest camera bags

The turbulence, it seems, is ongoing on this side of the water-feature. U.S. stocks traded flat to lower Thursday because market took a break as higher oil prices and downbeat economic data controlled Wall Street’s momentum. So, what are we to believe, is the market heading up…or taking place?

How does the market look in standard terms? As far as stocks are concerned, the S&P index is up simply 0.3 percent for the 12 months, the Dow is up Three.4 percent and the NASDAQ is actually down 2.9 percent. Not sparkling data.

However for penny stock investors, the recent journey ride that many seasoned glowing blue chip investors are pulling over, is just par for the course. We know that a penny stock investing is often volatile and just seeing that unpredictable.

While a penny stock may be more vibrant when the market is upbeat, in general, a cent stock marches to its own melody. Why? Few investors head to the field of penny stocks because they are either unwilling or unable to do the work required to accurately foresee what these shares may do.alongside camera lenses should you discover a lot of web-site

By their mother nature, it is nearly impossible to know what cost a penny stock share must be trading at, and standard financial ratios and market comparisons are rarely effective steps for realizing a penny stock’s benefit. Large one-day percentage gains along with losses are not an uncommon happening for penny stock investors.

Consequently really, bull, bear or even cat…it’s just another day in the computer screen for penny stock shareholders. The work may be fun…however it’s not easy. Of the 14,000 public companies in the Ough.S., about 3,More than two hundred are considered penny stocks that deal on the OTC Bulletin Board operated by the NASDAQ.

Their visibility is low, it’s likely that you’ve never heard of their President and I doubt they have almost any institutional following. And while they’re remarkably speculative, the more promising kinds have a targeted business plans, as well as solid positions in niches. And for now, they’re hurtling under the radar of Wall Road

So what do you do in an unpredictable market like the one we have been in? Continue applying the exact same principles you’ve always used when searching for that untapped small cap stock. And enjoy the volatility.
